‘Reuse At Protest – A Mass Printer’
Acrylic paint, insulation panel, paper

sculpture and action

Inspired by the organization and tenacity shown by the community in Milton Park’s history, Avery created large-scale stamps to celebrate and commemorate their spirit and story. These stamps will be offered up for use to the Milton Park community for any future demonstrations, as needed. These reusable stamps are meant to be a sustainable method of making protest banners, and have the capability to mass ‘print’ large-format banners through hands-on labour by people. Much like what was done in traditional sewing circles, the group engaged in this social and productive activity is invited to talk about the meaning behind their actions and share ideas.
